HARRISBURG – Sens. Joe Pittman (R-41) and Cris Dush (R-25) and Rep. Brian Smith (R-66) announced today they helped secure more than $3 million in Local Share Account (LSA) grants and Public School Facility Improvement grants from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for projects throughout Jefferson County.
“I’m proud to have worked with Sen. Pittman and Sen. Dush to bring this money back to our area,” Smith said. “Some of these projects make our area safer, others make our area more accessible and some may even boost tourism. These improvements have the potential to do a lot of good in Jefferson County.”
“Thanks to the collective effort of local and state leaders, our communities will soon be receiving substantial investments for needed infrastructure improvements,” Pittman said. “Infrastructure projects of any size can be expensive for municipalities. I’m pleased to have worked to ensure this state support will assist with vital improvements to protect health, safety and education access within our region.”
“With so many hard-working families struggling with ever-rising costs and inflation, I am pleased to have played a role in securing this highly competitive funding for the citizens I serve in Jefferson County,” said Dush. “These grants are important investments in the safety and quality of life for residents of all ages. Securing this highly competitive funding is a huge win for even more homeowners, employers, schools, farmers and volunteer firefighters who will not have to bear the economic burden for millions of dollars of critical infrastructure upgrades.”
