HARRISBURG – Sen. Joe Pittman (R-41), Rep. Abby Major (R-60), Rep. Leslie Rossi (R-59) and Rep. Jill Cooper (R-55) announced today more than $1.8 million in Local Share Account (LSA) funds have been awarded for nine projects in Westmoreland County. These investments were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA).
“Projects to strengthen communities are critical to the stability and growth of our region,” Pittman said. “I was pleased to work with my colleagues in Harrisburg to advocate for this substantial support. Thoughtful investments in local infrastructure and economic development initiatives help ensure municipalities can meet the needs of residents now and into the future. This is an exciting day as the funding will help address local priorities, support economic growth, and improve quality of life across the county.”
“Each of these projects responds to community needs and helps with the delivery of essential services,” Major said. “I’m happy to support these requests and advocate for our community in Harrisburg.”
“These LSA grants will help our communities address aging infrastructure, improve public safety and protect water quality, all while easing the burden on local taxpayers,” said Rossi. “These projects represent smart investments that will serve residents for years to come.”
“Local governments go above and beyond to keep their budgets in check, yet still provide the services valued by residents and businesses,” Cooper said. “I can think of no better use for these grants, and I was thrilled to work with Sen. Pittman in seeing these projects get the boost needed to get them across the finish line.”
