Green Township Receives $100,000 State Grant

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today (November 12) awarded a $100,000 Multimodal Transportation Fund grant to Green Township, Indiana County, according to Senator Joe Pittman and Representative Cris Dush.

Green Township proposes to use the funding to replace deteriorating pipe culverts and repair the roadway surfaces of Hemlock, Spruce and Holly roads.

“This funding will help Green Township address a long overdue project,” said Senator Pittman. “This Multimodal grant provides vital resources in support of a project that will definitely benefit the residents of northern Indiana County.”

“This project is important for the Green Township community. These culverts are at the end of their life span and must be replaced as soon as possible,” Representative Dush said. “These improvements will ensure that local residents have a safe way to get around.”

The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages. The CFA holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
