Senator Pittman Takes the Oath of Office

HARRISBURG – Today, the Pennsylvania Senate convened for the opening of the 2025-26 legislative session. State Senator Joe Pittman (R-41) was sworn-in for the start of his second full-term serving in the Pennsylvania Senate.

“I am humbled and honored to have been re-elected by my constituents to serve as their senator,” Pittman said. “Making sure their needs are met and that they are served by our offices promptly and efficiently remain my top priorities.”

The 41st Senatorial District includes all of Armstrong and Indiana Counties, and a portion of Jefferson and Westmoreland Counties.

The Honorable Judge Gina Force administered the Oath of Office.

In addition to serving as Senator representing the 41st Senatorial District, in November Pittman was re-elected by his colleagues to continue to serve in the position of Senate Majority Leader. As leader of the Senate Republican Caucus, he works with his colleagues to ensure the rights of Pennsylvania citizens remain safeguarded. He has been a champion for advancing legislative initiatives to create jobs, implement infrastructure improvements, support law enforcement and limit government overreach.

“Throughout this new legislative session, we will continue to work to advance policies and legislation to strengthen our communities, provide for family sustaining jobs and ensure Pennsylvania will remain a strong commonwealth for future generations,” Pittman said.

Voters gave Senate Republicans a 28-22 majority in the November 2024 General Election.
